I helped bring their stories to life, attract unique downloads and paying customers, and grow the Pocket brand to one of the leading audio apps in the world while managing a team of writers and working with creative directors and business execs.
Content Writing
My first forray into professional writing was with a blog called Gossip On This (we all have to start somewhere). I worked for this entertainment site for four years, and I wrote thousands of articles in that time.
Much of my writing was “ripped from the headlines” coverage, but I also had the opportunity to write blog posts about interests that matter to me.
Broadcast Marketing
Before digital audio skyrocketed in popularity, most people were tuned into radio throughout the day. And for seven years, I had the opportunity to operate in the theater of the mind.
I was the sole copywriter for three radio stations, and I handled all of the local marketing for our team. From writing to casting voices and creating long-term campaigns, I helped local business reach their target audience.

In addition to my BA in Mass Communication Media, Technology, and Production from UNC Chapel Hill, I also received a minor in Writing for the Screen and Stage.
Screenwriting has always been a passion of mine, and my studies helped me hone my craft of storytelling while equipping me with the technical insights to turn my stories into a reality.
SEO Content Writing
Location, location, location. It’s not just about real estate, it’s also essential for search engine optimization. For more than five years, I’ve helped companies across the country improve their SEO rankings.
As part of B12, I wrote the website copy, optimized every page using SEO including the meta data, and created long-term content calendars to reinforce our clients’ results.
